International Casting Director, Named by The Times as “The guru of casting”

For over 20 years, award-winner Mark Summers has been one of the World’s most sought after Casting Directors. Mark started casting in the UK and now casts worldwide, he has over 12,000 credits to his name. His work includes Film, TV, Commercial, Fashion, Voiceovers, World Tours and Dance.

Mark lives to cast and has worked with some of the World’s most famous Directors including David Lachappelle, Joe Pykta, Paul Hunter, Richard Curtis, Jason Reitman, Martin Campbell, Kenny Ortega, Edgar Wright, The Hughes brothers, Marc Forster, Alex Gibney, David Sims, Cynthia Wade, John Hillcoat and Jon Favreau and more.

Mark and his team has cast for some of the world’s biggest names in the industry, including BBC, Bradley Cooper, David Beckham, BT Sport, IBM, McDonalds, Working Title, O2, Nike, Rolls Royce, Hermes, British Airways, Smirnoff, Sky TV, Johnnie Walker, L’Oreal, Justin Timberlake and the late Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.

Mark has over 12,000 credits to his name. His dedication and skill has earned him love from Directors, Producers, Choreographers and Performers, and numerous awards too. Mark has been nominated for, and won, the British Advertising Craft Award for Best Casting Director and has been nominated a record number of times.

In 2010, Mark was honoured by Sir Paul McCartney at the world famous Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and made a ‘Friend of LIPA’, one of the highest honors ever bestowed by the university.

Mark regularly passes on his knowledge and skills through master classes and also works with the RAD’s community outreach program, Step Into Dance. This helps young people who would not otherwise have the opportunity to access high quality dance classes. Mark was made a mentor and patron of the RAD in 2011.

Mark is a media commentator. He has a regular column in The Stage and has also been featured in campaign, GQ, Marie Claire to name a few. Mark has hosted and appeared on many TV shows across the world.
